Identity workshops and exhibition / Tożsamość warsztaty i wystawa
Terminy warsztatów:
8 spotkań: 28 lutego, 07, 14, 21, 28 marca, 04, 11, 25 kwietnia
Otwarcie wystawy:
21 maja 2022
Warsztaty i wystawa: Przejście Dialogu, Przejście Świdnickie
W cyklu warsztatów stworzymy bezpieczną przestrzeń do rozmowy o tożsamości osobistej.

Workshops dates:
8 meetings: February 28, March 07, 14, 21, 28, April 04, 11, 25
Exhibition opening:
May 21
Workshops and exhibition: Przejście Dialogu, Przejście Świdnickie
In these series of workshops, we will create a safe space to talk about personal identity.
What does it mean to be a foreigner, or disabled? What does life look like for a person of colour in Poland today? What does it feel like to be perceived as a woman? What is the experience of someone who doesn’t fit gender norms? We will ask ourselves what „difference” and „diversity” really mean, through the act of artistic creation and experimentation.
In the group, everyone’s opinion and advice will be valued and welcomed to help each other towards the realization of their final artwork, which will be presented in an exhibition organized by the group at the end of the workshops. The final work can be anything that you can imagine and can realize (photography, painting, sculpture, writing, etc), experimentation and transdisciplinary projects are encouraged.
Attention!
Because these subjects require intimacy and trust between participants, a small group is more adequate. If we receive too many applications, a selection will be made to ensure the diversity of profiles and experiences. All experiences are welcome. Only motivation, involvement and honesty are required!
Please note that filling this form does not guarantee a place in the workshop. You will be contacted between February 14-17 to let you know whether you are in or not.
Please also note that these workshops are not a place where you will learn techniques of painting, photography, writing, etc. They are intended as an open space for free creation and experimentation. This is why anyone is welcome as long as you have something to say and understand that you will need to be truly involved.
Practical information
- The workshops will be held from February 28 to April 25 (8 meetings, no meeting on April 18)
They will take place once a week, on Monday at 17.00, in Przejście Dialogu.
This period will be a time of creation where participants will be encouraged to experiment and share ideas. During the meetings, we will exchange ideas, advice and art references in order to help each person reach the final form of their project. The goal is to have one finished artwork per participant at the end of the 9 weeks.
- Application form (docs.google)
- 3 days before the exhibition starting date
During these three days, we will set up the exhibition, put everything into space and make sure all final details are okay before the opening.
- End of May and/or June
The exhibition will start and take place in Przejście Dialogu.
- The workshops will be held in English but your English doesn’t need to be perfect! Just enough to allow us to understand each other and exchange around your ideas.
